Story:
A WOMAN IS A RISKY BET is about women who share a passion; who are obsessed with their work and who have the courage to break with existing values and accept challenge. It is about not giving up; protecting your own life force and believing in change. The six women are all pioneers, breaking their way into the men's world. Many orchestras are extremely conservative; many even ban female conductors.
Conductors need extremely high competence, personality and absolute belief both in themselves and their ability to gain the attention and respect of orchestras. What drives these women, despite the problems, sacrifices and all the opposition, is their great and common love of music.
