GULDBAGGE, Sweden: Best actress Viveka Seldahl
Göran du Rées and Inger Alfvén have written a fantastic screenplay.

She (Lena Olin) is a remarkable actress who like Garbo could give words and life to a silent movie. S/Y JOY is a very well acted film with Viveka Seldahl as the warm but slightly lost Maja-Lena and Hans Mosesson and Stellan Skarsgård who are drawn to the sea trying to escape dealing with their marital problems.

Story:
Annika and Klas have gone through a difficult time in their marriage. In an attempt to solve the crisis and begin a new life they buy a second-hand yacht, the S/Y JOY, with which they intend to sail around the world. The S/Y JOY has a strange history.
Its previous owners were caught in a hurricane in the Bay of Biscay and only two members of the family survived. Annika is intrigued by this fatal accident and endeavours to find out what happened.
