This beautifully made drama is touching without becoming sentimental thanks to its humour
The film depicts the story of twenty-something drug addicted Nuno. He is the son of divorced parents. He has lived a nomadic existence with his film director father. They have never stayed long enough anywhere for Nuno to make any friends.
Nuno is now in hospital struggling between life and death. The film goes through three phases of the young man’s life and the sensual dance of Tango is used as a metaphor. The film moves back and forth between Nuno’s troubled childhood and present day, where family members ponder what life could have been if only things had turned out differently.
