This is probably the first documentary about epilepsy, focusing on the social consequences, especially shame. It is also a film about courage. Meet Anna, a 17-year-old punk music lover, who reuses to let epilepsy run her life. The film also tells the story of Johan, 43, a professional photographer who sold his studio when he became ill, but then started to work again and Louise, a 67-year-old Salvation Army soldier, who was sterilised against her will because of her epilepsy.
SHAME ON YOU is a film about human dignity, life and the ability to keep on going – or give up.
